For optimum performance with large waveforms, NI recommends that your system meets the following requirements:
4 GB of free hard drive space
RAM—1GB
Note:
Instrument drivers are not required for NI LabVIEW Modulation Toolkit operation in simulation mode. However, the toolkit installs examples for the supported drivers if they are present on the system. Refer to the Supported Drivers section of this document for more information.
For details on activating NI LabVIEW Modulation Toolkit, refer to the Activating Your Software section in the help files. The evaluation mode for the NI LabVIEW Modulation Toolkit is 30 days from the date of installation. You can access all the features of the toolkit in the evaluation mode. Refer to the software license file for further licensing requirements.
Supported Drivers
Install all instrument drivers for the hardware you intend to use before installing the NI LabVIEW Modulation Toolkit. The toolkit supports the following drivers:
NI-RFSA 2.1 or later
NI-SCOPE 3.4 or later
NI-RFSG 1.4 or later
NI-FGEN 2.5.1 or later
If you install one or more of the aforementioned drivers after installing NI LabVIEW Modulation Toolkit 4.3.2, driver-specific toolkit examples and palette VIs are not present. To install these driver-specific files, you can run the Modify function from the NI LabVIEW Modulation Toolkit installer. To do so, follow the instructions found in the Uninstalling/Modifying the NI LabVIEW Modulation Toolkit section.
Installed File Names and Locations
Verify that LabVIEW and any supported drivers you intend to use with the toolkit are installed on your system prior to installing the toolkit. Install the toolkit by inserting the toolkit CD into your drive and clicking setup.exe.
Note:
When you run setup.exe to install the software from the CD, you are prompted to choose whether you want to always trust software from National Instruments. If you do not select this option, your installation may be interrupted by one or more Microsoft Windows security dialog boxes. However, if you run the installer in silent mode from the command line, you will not receive this prompt, and the installer will automatically install NI's Software Publisher Certificate to the your Windows Trusted Publisher Store. If you do not want to make this change to your Windows Trusted Publisher Store, do not choose this installation method.
